1 Overview
TAAROM operates as a prepaid digital astrology platform where Users recharge their in-app wallet and utilise the balance to access consultation services with independent Astrologers. Given the nature of the services offered, which are belief-based, time-sensitive, and rendered in real time, our refund and cancellation policy is structured accordingly.
2 Wallet Recharges and Payments
2.1 All services on TAAROM are prepaid. Users are required to recharge their in-app wallet before initiating any consultation.
2.2 Wallet recharges are processed through authorised and secure third-party payment gateways. TAAROM shall not be liable for payment gateway failures, bank delays, or third-party processing errors.
2.3 Wallet balance is non-transferable between accounts and holds no cash value except where required by applicable law.
2.4 All prices displayed on the Platform are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
3 Cancellation of Sessions
3.1 Once a consultation session has been initiated and connected, it cannot be cancelled and no refund shall be processed for the duration of the connected session.
3.2 If a User wishes to cancel a successfully booked session that has not yet commenced, the User must contact TAAROM customer support at contact@taarom.in within 1 hour of making the payment.
3.3 Cancellation of a booked slot after the 1-hour window has expired will result in forfeiture of the booking amount, at TAAROM's sole discretion.
3.4 Booked slots are generally non-reschedulable. Requests to reschedule a confirmed booking to a different date or time may be treated as a cancellation, which may result in forfeiture of the booking amount. Please refer to the cancellation terms above.
4 Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be issued under the following circumstances:
- The consultation session has been initiated and a connection has been established between the User and the Astrologer
- Incorrect personal information (name, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, contact number) was provided by the User at the time of booking
- The User failed to answer the call when connected for a "Call with Astrologer" session
- The User provided an incorrect or unreachable contact number for a call session
- Technical delays or glitches reported during the processing or generation of reports by the Astrologer, where all reasonable steps were taken to adhere to the indicated timelines
- The User is dissatisfied with the advice or prediction provided, as astrology is subjective and belief-based in nature
- Any product purchased on the Platform where the damage occurred after delivery
- Dissatisfaction with a product based solely on display images, which are provided for reference purposes only
- Services or products related to gems, yantras, mantras, or other astrological remedies, as the Platform holds no responsibility for their astrological efficacy
5 Eligible Refund Circumstances
TAAROM may consider a refund or wallet credit in the following limited and verifiable circumstances:
- Technical failure on TAAROM's end: If a session could not be initiated or was abruptly disconnected due to a verified technical issue on TAAROM's platform, a wallet credit or refund may be issued at TAAROM's discretion.
- Cancellation before processing: If a booking is cancelled within 1 hour of payment and the session has not yet been assigned to or commenced by an Astrologer, a wallet credit may be issued at TAAROM's discretion.
- Order cancellation by TAAROM: If TAAROM cancels a confirmed order due to non-availability of service, pricing errors, or any other reason attributable solely to TAAROM, the full amount paid shall be refunded to the User.
- Delayed subscription activation: A pro-rata refund may be considered for verified delays in the activation of subscription-based services that are directly attributable to TAAROM.
- Product damaged in transit: If a physical product ordered through the Platform is damaged during delivery, TAAROM will investigate and address the matter through its logistics partners.
6 Refund Process and Timeline
6.1 All approved refunds shall be processed after deduction of applicable transaction charges levied by the bank and/or payment gateway, return shipping or courier charges where applicable, customs duties if levied, and any other charges incurred by TAAROM during processing or delivery of the service.
6.2 Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment source (bank account, credit/debit card, or UPI) within 7 to 10 working days from the date of approval, subject to the processing timelines of the respective bank or payment gateway.
6.3 In certain cases, refunds may be credited as wallet balance on the TAAROM Platform rather than to the original payment source, at TAAROM's discretion and subject to applicable law.
6.4 To initiate a refund request, please contact our customer support team at contact@taarom.in with your registered mobile number, transaction details, and a brief description of your concern.
7 Pricing Errors
7.1 TAAROM makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all pricing information displayed on the Platform. However, in the event that a service is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or system error, TAAROM reserves the right to cancel the booking and notify the User promptly.
7.2 In such cases, the full amount paid by the User shall be refunded without any deduction.
7.3 TAAROM shall not be obligated to honour any booking made at an incorrectly displayed price.
8 Double Payment or Technical Payment Failures
8.1 In the event that the TAAROM Platform or linked payment gateway experiences a technical issue such as slow performance, session timeout, or payment failure, the User is advised to check their bank account before initiating a second payment.
- If the bank account has been debited, do not initiate a second payment. Contact TAAROM customer support immediately at contact@taarom.in to confirm the transaction.
- If the bank account has not been debited, you may safely initiate a fresh payment.
8.2 In the event of a verified double payment against the same order, the duplicate amount shall be refunded in full without any deduction of transaction charges. TAAROM shall retain the cost of only one order as intended by the User.
9 TAAROM's Right to Cancel or Refuse
9.1 TAAROM reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, cancel, or suspend any order or service for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Non-availability of the requested service or Astrologer
- Detection of fraud, misrepresentation, or abuse
- Inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable User information
- Violation of TAAROM's Terms and Conditions or Code of Conduct
- Legal, regulatory, or compliance requirements
9.2 Where an order is cancelled by TAAROM after payment has been collected and no service has been rendered, the amount paid shall be refunded to the User in full.
9.3 If a User's wallet contains a balance at the time of account suspension or termination due to violation of TAAROM's Terms and Conditions, such balance may be forfeited at TAAROM's discretion, subject to applicable law.
10 Governing Law
This Refund and Cancellation Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Any disputes arising out of this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, India, subject to the arbitration provisions set out in TAAROM's Terms and Conditions.
